From the beginning of 2008 in Lviv region 444,4 thousand sq.m. of total habitation area are put into exploitation, that is up to 9% more than in January-September 2007. For this period 3 838 apartments are built in 1 244 newly built residential houses. Multiplying of the residential buildings in the region took place due to multistored residential houses. For the period of 9 months in 2008 129 residential houses are built with 2 718 apartments and general area 216,9 thousand sq.m. These was reported in Main administration of statistics in Lviv region.
The introduction of individual habitation was abbreviated for 17,6% comparing with January-September in 2007. the population put into exploitation 1 115 individual residential houses with a total area of 227,5 thousand sq.m.
Plans to sell through auctions land sites with the approximate value of 107 million UAN appeared impracticable.
Land plots which were to be sold in October during the Lviv international economic forum attracted nobody's interest, so they will be proposed on another auction in November.

City chairman of Lviv Andriy Sadoviy together with Sergiy Taratuta the head deputy of Lviv regional state administration on questions of town-planning and investment policy during one-day visit to Austria conducted meeting with Deytmar Alyuta the chairman of «Àlpine BAU Gmbh» company.
During the meeting the sides discussed three issues: clarification of details concerning project of the stadium, the author accompaniment of the project on the stage of its realization and the mechanisms and terms of the payment for a project.
Another western investor was disappointed in the Ukrainian market of the real estate. The biggest European developer and operator of shopping centers - German ECE Projektmanagement postponed plans in relation to development of projects in Ukraine and practically all personnel of "ECE-Ukraine" is left without a job.
A company which promised to invest about 300-400 million Euro to Ukraine explains that it fears to inlay facilities in the country with an unfavorable investment climate. A company entered the Ukrainian market at the end of 2006. It was planned that in the nearest five years therer will be built about five shopping centers with format of «shopping mall» and the area of 50-80 thousand sq.m in large cities of Ukraine.

Building enterprises of Lviv region for 10 months of 2008 executed their works for the total summ of 3 039,5 million UAN, that is for 12,2% less than in the proper period of the previous year (while for eight months of 2007 an increase was 22,1%). The volumes of the executed building projects were decreased by the enterprises of 13 districts out of 20 and by the enterprises of 6 towns of the region out of 9, - reported the Main administration of statistics in Lviv region.
Reduction of volumes of the executed building projects is explained by diminishing of volumes of roads' construction, pipelines, connection and energy supply lines. Besides the volumes of building completion works were substantially shorted.
